Product Details

Our product grade F16 manufactured using high-quality quartz sand and petroleum coke, our silicon carbide powder is produced in powerful electric furnaces heated up to 2,500°C.

Process-Controlled Quality

Longer melting allows for full crystallization of silicon carbide with big grains, high quality, and absence of impurities. Every batch of silicon carbide goes through chemical and water cleaning and special mechanical treatment which increases the strength of grains, cleanliness of their surface, and uniformity of grinding. The result is maximum hardness and ability to resist heat and radiation while having good thermal and electric conductivity.

Industrial Applications

This grade works as a deoxidizer in the process of smelting and is an efficient refractory. It can be used as the basis for making abrasive products such as grinding wheels and oil stones, and as an insulator when producing steel.

Estimated Operational Effectiveness

Usage of the grade at the rate of 14 kg per metric ton guarantees:

• Saving up to 15–20 kWh of energy during every furnace run;

• Shorter processing time by 15–20 minutes;

• Increased capacity by 8–10%.
